Mrs Elizabeth Perales

My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Perales and I am your registered school nurse. I have been at Kelston just over 2 ½ years now and am well qualified to assist your sons to achieve the best of health, having three sons myself. I have been working as a community-based nurse for 20 years and have a passion for youth health and for education.

The students are very fortunate to have two doctors attend clinic two half days a week.

Dr Glenn Doherty, (Ngati Porou descent), has come to Kelston having achieved much in youth health in his role as GP in Primary Health and at other school clinics. He also has been busy at the forefront of policy health e.g. a party to the first draft of NZ Influenza Pandemic Planning. He also works for a Tongan Health Society Clinic and his special interests are in Maori and Pacific Health and adolescent health.

Dr Gael Donald has been doctoring for many years in Auckland & previously Napier. She has over 20 years work experience in general practice and has specialist qualifications in general practice, FRNZCGP. Her experience & interests are in adolescent health, mental health and women's health. She is also employed at West Fono Trust in Henderson, a Pasifika health clinic, and works in 2 other west Auckland school clinics. She is parent to 3 young adult children, 1 still attending high school.

Physio Chris Lawrence our very busy physiotherapist, not only looks after all our students, Physio needs and especially our 1 st XV Rugby team but also finds the time to care for the KBHS Premier Basketball and Senior Touch Teams. Outside of school he is Physio to the Auckland Secondary Bs otherwise known as the UI8s.
