The School is the only single sex State Boys' school in West Auckland, is fifty two years old and has a roll of thousand and fifty students. The School enrols students from a very broad geographical area and the zone encompasses the entire City of Waitakere.

The School has a proud tradition of providing excellence in education and a reputation for developing "boys to young men." The School accepts the challenge of achieving three goals with each student who attends the School.
