 The School's Record Minimize 

The School has commanded a place in the top six of the highly competitive Auckland Schools competition every year for the past 8 years.

In the last fi ve years, the First XI has won the Marryatt Cup, the Auckland Secondary Schools One Day competition, on three separate occasions and been placed second and third

in the Gillette Cup (the national Secondary Schools One Day Competition) in successive years placing the School in the top four schools in the country.

  • Individual skills and attitudinal assessment
  • An individual developmental programme for each cricketer
  • Fitness testing and monitored conditioning programmes
  • Individual careers counselling together with a life skills and values focus
  • Academic qualifications in Years 11, 12 and 13 including Tertiary qualifications

The values and discipline of the Academy has been benefi cial to many graduates who have achieved in the academic realms as well as the cricket world.

PATHWAYS

Progressing through the development grades at the School will lead to a place in the highly prestigious First XI with opportunities for young men to test their skills against the best cricket schools in the country. Biannual Developmental Tours to Australia offers opportunities to be tested in the harshest competitive environment in the cricket world.

PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES

Because of the School’s reputation, players performing get noticed and our players are regularly included in Auckland Provincial age group teams and Development Squads. A large number of the School’s old boys make a successful transition to senior club cricket. The current fi rst XI includes a number of players who have played at district representative level and for Auckland age group representative teams.
