This first class medical centre was opened in 2007 and named after nurse Jean Le Gros.
The services of the School Nurse are complemented by Doctor and Physiotherapy services funded by the local District Health Board.
The students are very fortunate to have a doctor attend clinic one morning a week.
Dr Glenn Doherty, (Ngati Porou descent), Director of Tongan Health Society. He has worked across the health sector in government, hospitals, health authorities and iwi authorities over time. He has a special interest in adolescent health and Maori and Pacific Health. He also has a special Tongan affiliation and regularly visits Tonga and provides charity work to villages and has strong links to the Tongan community in Auckland.
