Our school is seeking a fluent speaker of the Tongan language to develop our bilingual programme and offer Lea Faka-Tonga to our students.

If you are motivated and committed to growing the cultural capital of our students, then this position is for you. Classes will initially start with Year 9s with the view of progressive growth over the years.

Strengths in one of the core subjects of English, Maths, Science or Social Studies necessary. Preparing students for participation in Polyfest is a key responsibility, and a willingness to work in collaborative teams is expected as is an affinity for teaching boys. Innovation, curiosity, and a genuine desire to support our students bring their strengths as Tongans to the school are desirable.

Be instrumental in growing Lea Faka-Tonga at Kelston Boys’ High School.

Permanent position. Part-time 0.6. Full-time possible if a full teaching programme can be arranged. Start Term 1, 2023
