Important comments for the following event/dates:

  • The Arts Festival is our annual showcase of senior students portfolio work for the visual arts, such as Design, Painting, and Photography, as well as performing arts peices from Drama and Music. it really is a hit night for our seniors, so come along for some fun!
  • PhotoLife Team Photos: Photos for academic groups, cultural groups, an sports teams. Students are expected to be in correct school uniform, worn properly, and following our uniform and opersonal gooming guidelines ---> https://www.kbhs.school.nz/administration/uniform-1 . A list of what teams are happening at what times will come out the week of, and will be called in their time slots on the day too.
  • PAT Tests: The PAT tests will be replacing the e-asTTle tests from Term 4. All junior students will take these tests for Reading, Writing and Maths. The results will be used to identify gaps in students learning, as well as whether they are ready to sit The NCEA L1 Numeracy and Literacy exams.
  • The end of year big events, Sports Prizegiving, Senior Prizegiving, Graduation, and Junior Prizegiving times are still TBC. When the timings of the days are set, we will advertise on our social media, website and newsletters.
  • Two important mental health events happening this term, Mental Health Awareness Week and Gumboot Friday - we encourage all our students to get involved in the activites we will have on!
