YEAR 13 INFORMATION
A very warm welcome to all our year 13 students for 2026.
We hope you've had a happy, safe and festive summer break, and are ready to start high school.
Please find below the start of year important dates, uniform shop, and stationery. If you have not receieved your timetable already during term 4 2025, or you are new this year, you will receive your school timetable when you arrive on your first day of school. Students do not need their full stationery on the first day, just a book and pen is suffice to get them going. The stationery list is a minimum guide to what they need, and will need to be topped up throughout the year when pens run out etc.
The school office opens for the year on Monday 19 January. Feel free to pop in to see our friendly reception team from Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:00pm or email them on office@kbhs.school.nz, or phone (09) 818 6185.
The 2026 Year 13 Kaimanaaki Tāngata (Dean in charge of your sons pastoral care) is Mr Ash Tuia. He can be reached on a.tuia@kbhs.school.nz for any issues or concerns during the year.
Term 1 is always a busy term and we encourage our boys to participate fully in the activities on offer, but also remember that their studies must be given top priority. We have high expectations of our students and staff to be the best they can be, and I look forward to celebrating with the Kelston community the many successes that 2026 will bring.
Priority is given to the hauora and the safety of each student. A big part of this is each student being self-aware of their feelings and the feelings of those around them, to be prepared to look after himself, his property, the property of others and our environment.
Ngā mihi nui, Mr Samuela | Acting Principal
