KELSTON SCHOOL BALL 2025

Combined Kelston School Ball 2025: Important Information

Kelston Boys' High School

We are excited to announce the details of our Year 13 School Ball, a much-anticipated event that celebrates the final year of our students' school journey. This year’s ball promises to be a spectacular evening filled with elegance, entertainment, and unforgettable memories.

Event Details:

  • Date: 20th September 2025
  • Time: Doors open at 6:30PM, event concludes at 11:50PM
  • Venue: Ellerslie Convention Centre
  • Theme: A Night in Dubai
  • Dress Code: Formal Attire

This event is exclusively for Year 13 students, and we encourage our young men to invite a partner to share in the celebration. Partners can be from different year groups but must be above 16 years of age and will need to be vetted if they come from schools outside of Kelston Girls College.

Your son needs to have an 80% attendance at school to have an automatic right to attend the ball. For students with less than an 80% attendance, their right to attend the ball will be looked at on a case-by-case basis with their progress towards their NCEA been a major consideration. If your son’s attendance is below 80%, he should see Mr Samuela or Mr Rutherford before Friday 8th August so he knows what he needs to do in order to attend the school ball.

Ticket Information:

  • Total Cost: $140 per student
  • Deposit:  $50 due by Friday, 15th August (Refundable if student lets school know by Friday 5th September)
  • Balance: $90 due by Friday, 5th September

Tickets include entry to the venue, a catered dinner, entertainment, and professional photography. Payments can be made via the cashier, or online into the school bank account 12-3034-0708887-00 with the students name and School Ball as the reference.

We ask that you please discuss the importance of respectful behaviour and responsible decision-making with your son ahead of the event. The school’s Code of Conduct will be in effect throughout the evening.

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Peter Rutherford by e-mail at p.rutherford@kbhs.school.nz

We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with our Year 13 students.

Warm regards,

Adeline Blair
